Berjaya UC opened its doors to its inaugural intake of students in 2009
and in 2019, we celebrate this 10-year milestone. The university college
has four faculties – Faculty of Culinary Arts, Faculty of Hospitality
and Tourism, Berjaya Business School and Faculty of Liberal Arts – with a
total of 1,200 students; of which 10% are full-time international
students in 22 programmes from foundation to postgraduate levels.
Berjaya UC’s city campus is strategically located in the heart of the
golden triangle in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is conceptually designed
with a 5-star chic and sleek facilities.  Berjaya UC has established
strong strategic collaborations with established institutions of higher
learning in the ASEAN region, Asia, Europe and the Americas.  We work in
partnership with more than 70 institutions with the aim to promote
internationalisation via activities including credit recognition,
student and staff exchange, collaboration in research, faculty visits
and staff development. This is in line with one of our core values of
responding to the increasingly global nature of business by fostering
multi-culturalism and providing an international educational experience.
In terms of international student programmes, Berjaya UC is actively
developing a truly international learning community, with an increasing
number of non-traditional ways of offering teaching and learning to
international students, such as the Berjaya Immersion Methodology,
internship, workplace exposure programmes and exposure to multicultural
environment in Malaysia. We have hosted more than 500 students from
different institutions from South Korea, Japan, China to name a few, to
spend between two weeks to four months through our Global Mobility
Programmes, which internationalizes Malaysian culture and heritage.

Berjaya UC membuka pintu kepada pengambilan pelajar pertama pada tahun 2009 dan pada tahun 2019, kami meraikan kejayaan 10 tahun ini. Kolej universiti mempunyai empat fakulti – Fakulti Seni Kulinari, Fakulti Perhotelan dan Pelancongan, Sekolah Perniagaan Berjaya dan Fakulti Seni Liberal – dengan seramai 1,200 pelajar; di mana 10% adalah antarabangsa sepenuh masa pelajar dalam 22 program dari peringkat yayasan hingga pascasiswazah.
Kampus bandar Berjaya UC terletak secara strategik di tengah-tengah segi tiga emas di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia dan direka secara konsep dengan kemudahan bergaya dan anggun 5 bintang. Berjaya UC telah menubuhkan kerjasama strategik yang kuat dengan institusi yang lebih tinggi pembelajaran di rantau ASEAN, Asia, Eropah dan Amerika. Kami bekerja di bekerjasama dengan lebih daripada 70 institusi dengan tujuan untuk mempromosikan pengantarabangsaan melalui aktiviti termasuk pengiktirafan kredit, pertukaran pelajar dan kakitangan, kerjasama dalam penyelidikan, lawatan fakulti dan pengembangan kakitangan. Ini sejajar dengan salah satu nilai teras kami bertindak balas terhadap sifat perniagaan yang semakin global dengan memupuk pelbagai budaya dan memberikan pengalaman pendidikan antarabangsa.
Dari segi program pelajar antarabangsa, Berjaya UC aktif membangunkan komuniti pembelajaran yang benar-benar antarabangsa, dengan peningkatan sebilangan cara bukan tradisional untuk menawarkan pengajaran dan pembelajaran pelajar antarabangsa, seperti Metodologi Perendaman Berjaya, magang, program pendedahan di tempat kerja dan pendedahan kepada pelbagai budaya persekitaran di Malaysia. Kami telah menganjurkan lebih daripada 500 pelajar dari institusi yang berbeza dari Korea Selatan, Jepun, China untuk menyebut beberapa, hingga menghabiskan antara dua minggu hingga empat bulan melalui Mobiliti Global kami Program, yang mengantarabangsakan budaya dan warisan Malaysia.

Associate Professor Chung Jee Fenn, Head – Centre of
Institutional Research has been with Berjaya UC since September 2013. 
He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Berjaya Journal of Service and
Management and Chairperson of the Berjaya UC Research Management
Committee. He is also a registered counsellor under the Board of
Counsellors, Malaysia and a member of the Association of Internal
Management Consultants (AIMC, USA). AP Chung is a certified trainer and
has conducted workshops / seminars on SPSS, educational management,
quantitative research methodology to name a few. His area of expertise
is educational management, leadership and administration, human resource
management, quantitative research methodology and analysis; and has
published numerous papers in international journals and conference
proceedings in some of these areas. In 2006, AP Chung received the 2006
Service Excellence Award in Teaching from the Ministry of Education,
Malaysia.

Associate Professor Chung Jee Fenn, Ketua – Pusat Penyelidikan Institusi telah berkhidmat dengan Berjaya UC sejak September 2013. Kini, dia adalah Ketua Pengarang Berjaya Journal of Service and Management dan Ketua Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Penyelidikan Berjaya UC. Dia juga merupakan kaunselor berdaftar di bawah Lembaga Kaunselor, Malaysia dan ahli Persatuan Perunding Pengurusan Dalaman (AIMC, Amerika Syarikat). AP Chung adalah pelatih yang diperakui dan telah mengadakan bengkel / seminar mengenai SPSS, pengurusan pendidikan, metodologi penyelidikan kuantitatif. Bidang kepakarannya adalah pengurusan pendidikan, kepemimpinan dan pentadbiran, pengurusan sumber manusia, metodologi dan analisis penyelidikan kuantitatif; dan telah menerbitkan banyak makalah dalam jurnal antarabangsa dan prosiding persidangan di beberapa bidang ini. Pada tahun 2006, AP Chung menerima Anugerah Kecemerlangan Perkhidmatan 2006 dalam pengajaran dari Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia.

Ronald Willie Binati, Head of Programme – Foundation in Hospitality and Bachelor of Hospitality Management, School of Hospitality, has been with Berjaya UC since August 2010. Ronald was formerly the President of the Sommelier Association of Malaysia (SOMLAY) for 2 terms. He also completed his Msc. VINTAGE in Vine, Wine and Terroir Management under the Erasmus Mundus scholar’s programme of the European Union. As an educator, his interest lies in food and beverage sensory analysis, food cultures especially on wines spirits and tea. Apart from that, he is also interested in the internationalisation process in higher education as well as innovation and creativity in higher education teaching.

Ronald Willie Binati, Ketua Program – Foundation in Hospitality and Bachelor of Hospitality Management, School of Hospitality, telah bersama Berjaya UC sejak Ogos 2010. Ronald sebelumnya adalah Presiden Persatuan Sommelier Malaysia (SOMLAY) selama 2 penggal. Dia juga menyelesaikan Msc. VINTAGE dalam Pengurusan Anggur, Anggur dan Terroir di bawah program sarjana Erasmus Mundus dari Kesatuan Eropah. Sebagai pendidik, minatnya terletak pada analisis deria makanan dan minuman, budaya makanan terutama pada minuman anggur dan teh. Selain itu, dia juga berminat dalam proses pengantarabangsaan dalam pendidikan tinggi serta inovasi dan kreativiti dalam pengajaran pendidikan tinggi.

Dewi Wulandiah Oktavia, Senior Lecturer, School of Hospitality, was formerly the Head of Programme for the Diploma in Hospitality Management from 2014 – 2017.  She is a member of Sommelier Association of Malaysia (SOMLAY) and Malaysian Association of Facility Management (MAFM). She was awarded a scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education of Indonesia to pursue her Master degree in MBA at University Utara Malaysia (UUM) double majoring in Tourism Management and Hospitality and a Master of Management from Sahid University, Jakarta.  As an educator, her interest lies in Service Quality, Marketing, Sustainable and Green technology, Revenue Management, Organisation Development, Strategic Management and the Internationalisation process in higher education as well as creativity and innovation in higher education teaching.

Dewi Wulandiah Oktavia, Pensyarah Kanan, School of Hospitality, pernah menjadi Ketua Program Diploma Pengurusan Perhotelan dari tahun 2014 – 2017. Dia adalah ahli Sommelier Association of Malaysia (SOMLAY) dan Malaysian Association of Facility Management (MAFM). Dia dianugerahkan biasiswa dari Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi Indonesia untuk melanjutkan pelajaran ke peringkat Master dalam MBA di University Utara Malaysia (UUM) berganda dalam bidang Pengurusan Pelancongan dan Perhotelan dan Sarjana Pengurusan dari Sahid University, Jakarta. Sebagai pendidik, minatnya terletak pada Kualiti Perkhidmatan, Pemasaran, teknologi Lestari dan Hijau, Pengurusan Hasil, Pembangunan Organisasi, Pengurusan Strategik dan proses Pengantarabangsaan dalam pendidikan tinggi serta kreativiti dan inovasi dalam pengajaran pendidikan tinggi.

Chris Ong Siew Har, Senior Lecturer at Berjaya Business School has been with Berjaya UC since September 2015.  She was the former Head of Student Services at Berjaya UC managing both Malaysian and international students as well as the work placement of students.  She served as the critical link between Berjaya UC and its industry partners and institutional affiliates, coordinating not only career-related opportunities for students but also the institution’s joint partnership programmes and activities with the industry. She decided to transfer to teaching full-time to concentrate more time on completing her PhD. Chris also has extensive experience working with various hotels in Malaysia.

Chris Ong Siew Har, Pensyarah Kanan di Berjaya Business School telah berkhidmat dengan Berjaya UC sejak September 2015. Dia adalah bekas Ketua Perkhidmatan Pelajar di Berjaya UC yang menguruskan pelajar Malaysia dan antarabangsa serta penempatan kerja pelajar. Dia berfungsi sebagai penghubung kritikal antara Berjaya UC dan rakan industri dan sekutu institusi, yang tidak hanya menyelaraskan peluang yang berkaitan dengan kerjaya untuk pelajar tetapi juga program dan aktiviti perkongsian bersama institusi dengan industri. Dia memutuskan untuk beralih ke pengajaran sepenuh masa untuk menumpukan lebih banyak masa untuk menyelesaikan PhD. Chris juga mempunyai pengalaman luas bekerja dengan pelbagai hotel di Malaysia.
